Eric Scott, Chief Executive Officer
Eric Scott has been designing and building software since the early 1980s. His passion for technology and process allow him to bring his extensive experience to many facets of the business world.
Eric formed his first software design company in 1997, and has been focused on utilizing the Internet to simplify and add value to business processes ever since. He is the founder and CEO of EventPoint, Inc., the premier provider of technical event management solutions to Fortune 500 companies. His companies are known for their practical approach to solving common business problems while remaining agile and cost-effective, thereby allowing large numbers of clients to maximize revenues and value through affordable solutions.
Eric makes his home in the Lake Tahoe area. In the winters he can be found hiking and skiing the awe-inspiring peaks of the Sierras, and in the summers biking and camping with his wife and four children.
Eric holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Washington.
Jon Wapstra, Chief Operating Officer
With more than eighteen years experience in business development, operations and management, Jon is responsible for ensuring that all operational and contracted obligations for EventPoint are met. Jon has been with EventPoint since its inception.
With a background in Systems Architecture and Design, Jon is passionate about technology and what’s possible with Software and Services. With a variety of technical certifications Jon was recognized by the Microsoft in 2006 with their “Partner Award” for contributions to what was termed the “most successful and extensive event network ever deployed at a Microsoft conference”. In addition to his role as technical liaison, Jon has also been responsible for all Information Technology platform and network deployments as well as overseeing the management of the EventPoint internal infrastructure. Jon has served in a research and development capacity, responsible for integrating new and beta release products into EventPoint platform and network infrastructure.
Prior to joining EventPoint Jon worked for the Boeing Company as a procurement agent on a team chartered with reducing waste in Boeing’s global manufacturing systems. In that role, Jon studied Lean Manufacturing in Japan. Along with a diverse team of engineers, web-based analytical tools were developed allowing the team to evangelize across Boeing about potential savings by migrating to more efficient, stream-lined processes, increasing turn rates and reducing waste.
Married with two children, Jon is most fond of spending downtime with his family. You will find him on a soccer field or fishing local rivers with his Dad. Jon volunteers as a youth sports coach and to an organization assisting persons with disabilities.
Jon is a graduate of Whitworth College in Spokane, WA with a B.A. in Business Management and Accounting.
Andy Toth, Vice President of Operations – Applications
Andy Toth joined EventPoint in 2005 and is currently responsible for all day-to-day software application implementation operations. Andy heads a team of highly skilled implementation, testing, and support experts and is working diligently to gain operational efficiencies to further benefit EventPoint’s customers.
Andy’s 10 year history in the software industry includes leadership roles within Hewlett-Packard, eDeploy.com, and Oasis Environmental. Having been Program Manager on numerous large scale software implementation projects within Cisco Systems, IBM, AT&T and SBC – Andy brings breadth of skills and knowledge to the EventPoint Executive team.
Originally from Carlisle, Massachusetts, Andy, his wife Camy, and their daughter Anna now live in Bozeman, Montana where they spend their free time camping, skiing, fly-fishing, whitewater rafting and travelling as much as possible.
Andy is a graduate of Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA with a B.S. in Geology. He is a few credits short of a Masters Degree in Earth Sciences, Hydrology from Montana State University (EventPoint swept him up in his final months of study).
